Matched Bet Calculator. A simple and easy to use matched betting calculator built and used by a matched betting enthusiast. In the past couple of years I've made over 3000 taking advantage of free bet offers by employing matched betting tactics. Recently I created this app to make it easier to perform on my phone. Currently the app is basic, no frills, it does the calculation and that's it. I may make improvements in the future. If you want to see improvements and have any suggestions, let me know. The concept is simple, and the profit is guaranteed. 1. Read the terms and conditions of the free bet. Not doing this is pretty much the only way things can go wrong. 2. Place a qualifying bet, this usually means backing and laying an outcome simultaneously. Calculate the lay stake using the app. Set the commission rate for the exchange. This is preset to 5% (as that is Betfair's rate). After the bet is placed the bookies will usually credit the free bet. 3. Repeat the above, but with the free bet toggle on (if the stake is not returned, as is most often the case). 4. Withdraw your winnings. The logic behind matched betting is easy enough to understand. For the qualifying bet you lose a tiny percentage of the overall stake (this is the difference in odds and cost of the commission in the exchange. You then have a free bet, of say 10. You can place this on anything, but the higher the odds, the more profit you'll make. Say you put it on something at 5/1. If that bet wins, you will now win 50 (Assuming the bet is stake not returned). You can now lay this bet and guarantee yourself a profit, you lay if for say 40 liability, which may win you 10. That means that whichever bet wins, you will make 10. (The odds very very rarely work out so beautifully!) This app simply performs the calculations, if there is interest I will create links to the best bookies, aggregate the offers available and publish a more detailed guide.
